Loud single cab systems

Hmm. Still kinda thinking of selling the SPL-12s I have, but... I guess I still wouldn't get anywhere. I dunno what I can fit behind my seat comfortably, probably just shallow 12s or something.
Plus I dunno if I can afford an amp and wiring and electrical and stuff. I can afford the amp and wiring, but batteries is what has caught me off guard.

I would just run alot of power to one. You save room and need less electrical than you would trying to run both of them. Plus you wont be choking it and it will be quite loud if you do it right.

I don't think I have enough space to mount one SPL-12.

See when I bought the two 12s, I was planning on doing a box/setup like this...

The 10" in that ranger I had pics of has a mounting depth of 7.625" so Im sure if you really wanted to you could come up with something. The passenger might have to sacrifice a little leg room but even in that truck I can sit in the front seat semi comfortably and im 6'0". If your going to go blowthrough I would make it worth your while and get some more cone area than two twelves.

I can only do 12s. I think the highest I can go is 15" max height of the box. So what you saying use more 12s?

I dont really understand what your saying. But IMO if your going to do a blowthrough make it worth your while and do something more than just two twelves. If your going through all that trouble I would at least do 4 12s or 2 15s. Youll have the space for it.

Otherwise I would just do one twelve behind the passenger seat ported to the side or upward. Run alot of power to it and it will get loud with ease. Like I said just my 2cents...

12 inch is as big as I can do if I remember right. I think from the bottom of the bed to the top of the lip is ~15 inches. so the largest sub I can use is a 12.

I'm kinda thinking I can fit some 12s in a wall in the cab. I'm gunna crunch some numbers and see what I can do.

I know If i can fit a box for 2 15's in a reg cab ranger you could 2

2 10" kicker L5's off Memphis 1000 in a single cab S-10 extreme.
Didn't get it metered but it was liuder than 2 CVR 15's in my extended cab Silverado.

Really made my ears hurt pretty bad...None of my other systems did that
you would've needed 10 cubes for the cvr 15's ported. they get pretty loud in 5 cubes per sub. perfect example as to why it is better to go smaller in a proper box, as opposed to choking a larger sub in a small enclosure.

How did you do that? They must have been shallow mount cuz rangers have zero room. I had enough trouble fitting one Fi Q 15". And that was in minimum box requirements with the passenger seat wayyyy up. How big was the enclosure? I cant imagine fitting two.

Yeah I need to see a picture of this.

This was back in '96 for what it's worth, but a friend of mine had a '95 S-10 reg cab. Behind the seats he had two Kicker Solo-baric 10"s, 1 behind each seat, and in the middle of those he had 2 PG MS275 amps. 1 to the front doors and the other bridged to the doors. IIRC he was hitting 137dBs. Couldn't tell you what mic was used back then. An all SQ set up.

hearing is for people who can still tolerate the worlds bullshit, i don't have that ability, so i say crank it!
LMFAO.

I'm kinda thinking of doing a "wall" of shallow mount subs sealed.. but I'm kinda thinking I'd be better off with the Mach 5 SPL-12s in a blowthrough, as it not that hard to do..
