Loud single cab systems

I have two Mach 5 SPL-12s....
There's no way you can fit (2) 12's ported in a sonoma without a blow through. I'd suggest you sell them and use the money to beef up the electrical and buy the beefiest 10'' you can find and a big amp. A 10'' in a well built box will get much louder than a 12'' in a box that is choking it.

I think I will end up doing a blowthrough.

my box is perfectly sealed...and braced...but in order to make it fit right snug up agains my back wall we had to fiberglass a part of the back plate of the box...this way the box fits nicely over the uneven humps and grooves while getting as much room as possible for the driver and passenger (which aint very much to begin with)

wow, i definately got the better end of the standard cab deal, i've got a standard cab 2002 ram and i've got 6.5 ft^3 under the window line without moving the seats forward much AT ALL, i mean i can still flip the center arm rest all the way up and back, and if i really wanted to push it i could get 8 ft^3 out of it and still see out the back window perfectly fine. and thats 60in across, 10in deep and 28in high (window is 24)

you can fit 8 cubes behind the seat? that seems very big.

yeah toyota pickups have no room...i even took out the bench seat to put in bucket that way my amp would mount in between them...my seats are nearly all the way forward and the bottom depth of my box is only 8.5...top depth is like 4.5in

Hmm. Still kinda thinking of selling the SPL-12s I have, but... I guess I still wouldn't get anywhere. I dunno what I can fit behind my seat comfortably, probably just shallow 12s or something.

Plus I dunno if I can afford an amp and wiring and electrical and stuff. I can afford the amp and wiring, but batteries is what has caught me off guard.

i just did a system with 2 12 inch pioneer shallow mounts and it was pretty decent. you may consider doing 4 shallow mounts. the pioneers only require .65 cubes per sub ported. you may find that only 3 will fit. there are also better shallow mount subs than pioneer, but i got a pair for 120$ new on ebay. 4 of them on 1000 watts would be decent.
