Deadeye and myself don't always agree on things, but I will commend him for his wonderful grammar nazi work in this thread. I was about to have to do it myself. I understand this is the internet and not English class, but the level of stupidity that is seeping into these forums when it comes to how you people spell words is just astonishing.

1. Learn how to spell even the most complicated six letter words.

2. Learn proper uses of words like: too/to/two, their/there, know/no, threw/through, those/though, write/right, tow/toe, etc.

3. Proof read your thoughts if you wrote them in a hurry or with great emotion so they don't turn out like this:

According to some people, those two brands are the best thing since sliced bread. It all depends on if you are trying to be loud, have good sound quality, or do a decent mixture of both. I would say you could still make some CV sound decent, but you definitely aren't looking at some of the highest output woofers on the market with them. Old school or not, times have changed.

Ion already said what I wanted to, but Kicker is about the second oldest company in the game. Oh, I'd be willing to put my 2 Solo Xs against any two twelves you end up building with. I'm rather confident in my 6 year old subs.

Have to agree with him, those Solo X's were pretty **** loud even on only 2800 to 2900 watts lol. First time for me to sit in a car with a system that actually hurt.

OP if you wanna go super name brand. Check out some RF p3s or JBL Power series subs, need about 500watts a pop on either sub
