Lost with this EQ help

Alright just purchased a graphic eq made by pyramid 903G 10 band, yeah i know it was cheap but just wanted to try out putting on a eq. My problem is i am reading all these post about RCA's from eq to amp to send the signal but the eq didn't come with any RCA's in or outs all it has is wires coming out the back like a regular deck would. Thats not a preamp EQ, thats an EQ/Booster if theres no RCA's on it.

I hope you didnt pay much for it!

ok so what is the difference between the 2 obviously yall can tell im not to smart on Eq's

A booster takes the 15w (+/-) coming off the HU speaker wires and re-amplifies it to "boost" the sound level feeding your speakers.

It has speaker wires in and out.

A preamp takes the low level RCA output from the HU, does its thing (EQ in your case) and keeps it as a low level signal that has RCA outputs can be fed to a separate amp.

Do you have an amp?

If you do it would be better to just forget using that EQ and buy a preamp EQ later.

If you dont have an amp you might as well use that for the time being until you get an amp and another EQ.

Dont expect it to sound good at high volume, those boosters usually have high distortion.
