type in the number and it gives you an approx location...its take a few seconds.

iLocalis is what I have on my iPhone. Remote access to your phone, backs up your data remotely, allows you to track your phone with GPS for an exact location and allows you to lock your phone remotely. Pretty handy IMHO.

That would be a pretty handy program to have.... May just be worth getting an iphone for those capabilities... Just dunno if I can bring myself to the iphone plan addition to my monthly fees

I could never bring my self to buy an iphone after seeing a friends experience with one. He was showing it to me and someone bumped into him and he dropped it, screen cracked, he had just bought it that day. Were as my currant phone has proven its durability, I accidentally dropped it when I tripped once and accidentally kicked it about 12 feet away. Its got a big dent on a corner and a few new scratches but works fine.

xGPS is pretty good too. Turn-by-turn directions and all that jazz. Almost as good as my Garmin if the voice was a little bit more realistic.

I have GPS in my car already so I wouldn't really get it for that. But the ability to track your phone and access it remotely is pretty handy. And yea it is cheap. Sounds like a good deal for 5 bucks a year.

Like? It's more of a low-jack than anything. It's built around the idea that if your phone is stolen you can remotely manage it and see exactly where it's at. You can also remotely back up your contacts and things if it's stolen and you don't want to lose them. You can set it to automatically send its location on a set schedule, you can remotely turn the function on and off and you can command it via email or sms to send it's exact location at any time to your email or another sms program.
