Lost lug nut key how to get them off?

Ive tried a vice grip already with no luck. These are the kind with a completely smooth round outside with the locking portion inside. Does anyone have any other ideas? i tried pounding on a socket with no luck yet any one know if autozone or any place like that has a tool set to get these off?? trying to change the brakes and im screwed!!

A bolt extracor. Or hammer a smaller socket on, Heat it first, ( the lugnut) then hammer it on.

you'll need to either cut it off or get lucky and find one at a junk yard (scrap yards keep these) or find someone with the same vehicle, or at the worst go to a dealership and get a new one..... either way, you're probably screwed until Monday...

grinder and a good vise gribs..grind 2 flat spots on outside of lug nut and visegrips to grip on flat spots..hit with a hammer to loosen

if you have a welder, weld a bolt on the end of it and then go from there

I just had to have my wheel locks removed because the key broke. My buddy's shop has a socket that is like a back out. Tap it on the wheel lock and when trying to loosen the lug it bites in and comes right off. It took him 2 minutes to get all four off. I am not sure where you can get one.

Take it to a local shop. Or go to sears or find a snapon guy or other tool guy. Buy yourself one of these. Might not be the same. My kit has three and is made for lug nuts. But its easy. Get one get and extension smack it on the lug nut and use a wrench to turn it off.

easiest way without special tools is to beat a smaller socket on with a hammer.

other than that, go buy the removal tool or a shop will do it.

just go to a tire shop. I had the same problem for some lugs and I went to a tire shop to have them find a key to get the lugs off.
