I would suggest putting up a barrier in the doors to block road noise, but since the windows are the #1 problem and you're opening them that won't help much. This may be the dumb question here but can't you just leave the windows shut?

I really do like to drive withthe widows down.

That said, my Ac went out and I rather have a little better sound than AC. LOL saying that out loud really make me feel like a Idiot but hey, priorities you no.

where are the tweeters positioned and is the EQ and amp set right?

I would never do this again, but I completely removed the AC from a previous car because I wanted to reduce weight. So I've been sweating just like you are. It's not fun.

The tweeters are nose level on the pillars.

I just found that the loudness was on, I think my son they have turned it on. I'll play with the EQ some more, and also try out the time alignment to see how much that helps.
