Alright, real quick I'll rundown the car and previous stereo.
Currently have 2 12" Premier3004s, Ported Box tuned to 35hz, and Hifonics 1606d
Car is a 1993 Lexus ES300. The way it's built it is difficult to get alot of bass into the cabin and didn't realize this upon purchasing the last stereo. Once summer rolls around Im going to try something new. After tampering with the car, I've realized there are only a few ways to really open up more bass (that I know)
#1-I can get a box built that has the port in the rear of the box and shaped very oddly. I have an opening where my armrest folds down that shoots right into the car, everything else has metal/thick leather seats to get through.
#2-I can port the box to fire through the rear speakers.
Either way this box should get quite expensive, which sucks, but I gotta do what I have to do. Im shooting for SQL. I'd like to get as loud as physically possible while still hitting nearly every note and not off SICK amounts of power. My alternator and battery were already starting to struggle on the 1600watts.
So let's hear some suggestions guys. What subs, what size (1 15, 2 12's, 3 10's, whatever), how to port the box, etc. On a fairly low budget, everything will be purchased used and I'd like to stay under 550 for the subs/amp and ill save the rest for a good box. Thanks guys
