looking to put a DDIN F-90bt in a 04 honda accord

i want to put the F-90 in where the stock radio is. it is the base model radio {lx} hopefully these pics show up. i was thinking of mating the stock navi top half to the stock lx {single climate conltroll} lower half. any advice, pointers, suggestions, ideas ect. will help.

Let me understand this correctly.

You have a LX accord and you want to use the Navi dash piece in a LX accord to fit the DD HU? If that's so, I don't think it would work or it would have been done by now, but hey you never know. I searched just for the front piece and I couldn't just find the front bezel by itself. I think the HU is integrated with the bezel, I am going to remove mine for some wiring I have to do this weekend. I will see if it's separate or integrated.

Another option is to buy the OEM audio attachment that goes in the lower pocket and use that. I believe it's plug and play if I remember correctly.

Someone must make a double-DIN install kit for this car, no? Probably pricey because of the controls and what not. I always hated integrated dashes for this reason. They look nice but kill you when you have to upgrade the invariably craptastic stock stereo.

someone's in the process of mounting a double din up top but he has to rewire the whole circuit board as they are all in one, so its alot of labor hours doing it. instead metra makes a single din kit that fits in place of the cubby, its what i have now and soon will put a double din going in. either you can hack up the single din to fit a double din or you can go the other route which is, honda makes a double din kit which is for the add on mp3 player or satellite radio. its bout 69 bucks from honda. but you can find it from an online honda dealer for bout 55 bucks i believe. it will look somewhat like this
