So, after some insightful replies from very cool members. I have decided to revise this thread instead of making yet another one. This is going to be a theory build, nearly everything mentioned I don't own and plan to buy in the future. The only thing I own is the SAZ-1500D, everything else is speculation.
I want to start putting a build together to get the best sound out of my 1500D @ 1ohm.
Here is what i'm thinking so far.
2 batteries in parallel (on top of the one under the hood) Will normal batteries be enough in this configuration? Will I need an aftermarket alternator? If so, how many amps?
0/1 or 0/2 Gauge wiring throughout?? How big of fuses should I use? multiple parallel fuses? What kind of power draw am I looking at with 1ohm? math says ~100A @ 14V. (3Kw/14v)
What gauge wiring should I run from the 1500D to the subs?
Would I be better off running a pair of smaller subs or one larger sub? eg: 2 12's or 1 15/18
Theoretical power output of the AMP @ 1ohm, does the power output scale linearly? (I assume no)
If you have any input or suggestions let me know //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Thank's a lot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Changed to 1ohm on the amp
