Looking to get a new router (wireless)

Well currently I have a Linksys router. Now the problem is, it disconnects my xbox and my laptop from the internet all the time. And this has only happened with Linksys routers. What are some other good brands for a wireless router?

LinkSys, D-Link, NetGear, Belkin...there are many!

(The reason I put LinkSys in the list, even though you are trying to get away from them, is that I have had no problems with my LinkSys.)

linksys is top to me... i use a linksys now

belkin is a POS.. had mad trobos with their crap

I would keep the Linksys, if it didnt disconnect me. The only other router I tried was a D Link, which didnt give me any problems. So I may have to go that route.

try uninstalling anything the linksys had to do on your computer, then reset the router to it's original stock settings. then reinstall it all and see if it continues.

belkin is shit i had a cable i bought of theirs and it was like 1 day from the warranty ending and they wouldn't replace it . it was only a $2-3 cable but still they could of stood behind their products but did they hell no and to top it off the person i talked to there was a total bish

BTW WAP is how your cell phone accesses the internet. Its not a security protocol.
