MTX makes good stuff, however, its typically over priced.

If I were you, I would go for a 8'' DC sub or one of the new 8'' sundown subs that are coming out. Mach5 also makes some good subs for midbass. Your music probably wont have much 'deep' bass in it (below 50hz), unless you get an epicenter. Which I would defiantly recommend.

Think of a piano. its the same 7 keys repeating. You can play marry had a little lam to the right (high) or to the left (low). Rock music utilizes the middle and right sides of a piano, An epicenter will take the notes in your music that are played in the middle, and replicate them, and play them toward the left.

So basically, it takes the 70hz midbass from your ACDC and duplicates it at 40 hz.

But if you decide not to go that route, I'd really suggest getting a nice set of components before you get subs. an 8'' midbass driver in a custom kick pod will be much more beneficial for rock music. the lowest point rock music typically reaches is 60-100hz. Which is a range better set for midbass drivers than subwoofers.

the subs will work you just might have to set you bass and mid controls up a little.try a small ported box it should work pretty good .try to get the frequency around 48 to 54 hrtz that way it will play all your music. i listen to alot of that music too and also alot of 80s rock and all i do is turn up my bass knob to where i like it. i have a couple of amps that would work for you need to know what rms is on your subs and start from there.

look for an amp that can do about 600-900 @ 2ohms

your subs are single 4ohm i believe, therefore you can wire them to receive a 2 ohm load. check the classifieds there should be some good amps for cheap.

The subs are the exact ones in the link I gave... There are stats on it on the page... Does the RMS say on it?

Also, what is RMS and watts?
