Looking for subs to match Sundown SAZ-1500D

Ok guys, I finally ordered up a Sundown SAZ-1500D. I am going to run it at 2 ohm on my M-Class 10's for now till I can save up some money for the subs.

I have a toyota tacoma ex. cab so no bigger than 12's and I dont want anything as extreme as Fi's BTL I want a great everyday sub.

I was going to run 2 12's but If you can recommend a good single that will sound great and push some air (ported) and still get high db's by all means recommend.

Budget is about $400 for 2 and around $300 if its a single.

i have some RD audio alpha 12s... you could put 1 off that amp and it would slam... im asking 225 per 12.. http://www.rdaudio.net comparable to the higher end woofers but, there slightly more efficient..

What about a couple SI mags? Might push your limit to 500 for two, but one would sound killer off that amp, but they say not to give more than 1000rms to it. What if you scaled down to a 1000d sundown and 1 mag! Would sound killer as well. Their 1 12 will run 250 and I believe they are still in production. So might be another month or so.

What you consider one 15"? If you have room for two 12"s you have room for single 15".

What you consider one 15"? If you have room for two 12"s you have room for single 15".

My problem with 1 15" compared to 2 12"s is that the box is going to stand up. Speakers facing the roof. I only have a max of 16" between the back of the seat and the back wall of the truck. With a 15" my box height would probably fall around 16 1/2" ish, whereas 2 12's I could get a box height of 13 1/2" to 14" ish.

Wont even consider getting rid of the amp. Haven't even got it in the mail yet.

I did some looking at the SI Mags and they are all dual 2 ohm right?

I have to have a 1 ohm load. I may save up for the SI Mag if I can run 2 12's

How about 2 1ohm Fi Audio SSD 12's in a ported box???

Right up my alley rms wise at 1 ohm and $380 for 2.

i ran a pair of them at .5 ohm for a long while on stock electrical with no probs...
