Looking for speakers

I've been looking for speakers around the $250 range. I have an Fi Q in a sealed box so getting a speaker with tons of midbass is not a huge concern. I'm more interested in achieving natural sound from my speaker. So far I've looked at some of the lower end Focal and Rainbow lines, but am considering any brand.

I have an Alpine MRP-F300 which can send 50w or 150w to each side.

I would appreciate any helpful input.

The HAT Imagines are nice, haven't heard any better at that price point.

Where can I buy the ESKs and Imagines from? I haven't found many legit dealers for either of those brands.

I can say from personally hearing each that those Hertz will kill the lower line Focals. They werent impressive at all and this was at a dealer in the display so i'm assuming they were setup right. The hertz ESKs are very nice.

Either the Focal or the Hybrid speakers will be a great choice.

Be careful listening to a demo on a sound board, some sound boards are small compact enclosures that change the response of the speaker. The Focal speakers require a LARGE enclosure (door) to give you the full potential.

At every price point the Focal will sound better than the Hertz, I know because I sold both for years...at the same time. But people just had to have Hertz b/c of reading on forums..

Go with Focal Integration, Performance series or choose a Hybrid. You will be very happy!
