Currently running 2 L5 Kickers 12s in my accord at the moment but want to change to a single 10 or 12 setup.

I Currently have a hifonics 1000d amp (about 750watts at 1ohm).

I'm looking for an online dealer that i can look at prices on either an mtx 9500 dual 2 ohm, A JL Audio W7 10 or 12, or a Resonant Engineering XXX 10 or 12. I listen to alot of hip hop and am looking for somethign that sounds at least as nice as the L5s did but better is always good.

At the moment im not able to find the dual 2 ohm MTX online anywhere and i cant find much on the manufacture site about the 9500. As i would love a 9500 in the MTX box that i could just plug my amp up to and be good to go.

EDIT:: i have about 600 to spend with box and sub

L5's dont sound to good so ull see a major difference with either of those 3 subs

um for 750rms you could go with a eclipse TI

how much do you have to spend ?

EDIT : are you going to keep your amp ?

You dont have enough power to move an XXX or the 9500, but the 12W7 would be perfect for 750w.

And as for the XXX, you would have to buy one used because the new models will kill your $600 budget with the driver alone...

is there a 12w7 that works ina 1ohm set up or are they like the old w6 with the 3ohm config

I will be keeping the amp as its enough power for me to not have to up my alternator or anythign like that. the GF doesnt need all that just something nice. I was looking at stats on mtx 9500 and they looked like 750wattsRMS would be good for one ? i dunno thanks for the replys, 12W7 is a great sub but im lost as to how to mount it with that ring thing. all my subs have had mounting screws

after a little research im seeing JL only provides a single 3ohm version ? My amp only puts out at 1ohm that wattage i would need to push it. Does the MTX or something else have a dual 2ohm model?

I'm mainly looking for anything SQL that will be a good match with my 750ish watts RMS and LOUD.

as stated before about 600 is what i have to spend on a sub and i can probably make a box myself.

i'm surprised i'm the first one to say this but have you looked at an rl-p? with 750 watts that would be real nice

Honestly have heard of them but never seen one or been able to look at one and see the specs of one, in order to actually decide on one.

I have some Eclipse TI 10s in my 06 Eclipse and they sound nice but i would like to go with somethign a little different with this single woofer setup.

I Personally Would Say The 12w7's. I Have 2 Of Them Myself In An Impala, And They Can Take Way More The 750 Watts. But, I Definately Reccomend Going With A 13w6. My Buddy Has One And It Will Get The Job Done. I Promise You That. Oh And The New Kicker L7's Sound Great Also, So Either Route Is Gonna Make You Happy.
