Looking for optimal box design for 12" sub

I am using 2 12"s in my living room surround and am selling one so will cause the box I have now is too big so need a smaller box. I am looking to make a custom box and am looking for optimal sq and about 32hz. The tricky part would be to make it not too big. Can someone throw some designs out here? I can go up vs sideways since I have a small living room. Thanks to anyone willing to help.

Saying the space your working with and the sub may help.

I'll just say 14x14x30 with an aeroport.

JL w6v3 12" and since in a living room - I'm not really putting restrictions - just would rather go up Vs out , the 14x14x30 could work, what port ? Can you send a link and a port and sub location? Any other suggestions ?
