Looking for opinions please

I am an employee of Circuit City and I'm looking to build a system in my SRT-4 Neon. I already have a head unit (Pioneer DEH-5900ib) and I would only like to get items I can get HUGE discounts on. I get 75% of MSRP on Kicker and MTX products, and 50% off Polk products. That being said, I'm looking for amps, a single 12" sub in either MTX or Kickers loaded enclosures. For the fronts, I was thinking of using the Q Logic kick panels, and again I'm not looking to drop huge money on this. Some may flame for the kick panels, but Im trying to stay away from custom stuff.

For the fronts, I was thinking of getting the Polk SR5250's powered by a Kicker ZX250.2 (85 watts x 2).

For the rears, I was planning on 1) getting some Polk DB series 6 x 9's for rear fill, just powered by the deck. Or 2) taking them out and just running the fronts, and letting more bass come through to the main cabin from the trunk. If I'm thinking wrong here, let me know please.

As far as the sub goes, I am open limited to MTX and Kicker with their prefabbed lines. Again, I just want a nice clean sounding 10 or 12 that doesnt take up too much room.

Thanks for your help guys. Ive done my own installs before, but I havent been in the car audio game for quite some time now.

my advice.... ditch the pioneer and get an alpine HU.

Don't do 6x9's, drop in some inexpensive 6.5" for the rear fill - and you want rear fill, I wouldn't get rid of it.

what is wrong with custom stuff?

Why ditch the pioneer? I don't know anything about that particular model of Pioneer, but don't get rid of it simply because you think Alpine is a better brand than Pioneer. If you don't need a new head unit, don't get one, the installation and other components will make a much bigger difference.

Somebody on here is actually encouraging somebody to keep rear fill? I'm amazed... however I disagree. Rear fill is just that, fill, it's not necessary. A good set of front components should provide more than enough sound and you will have a better sound stage that way too. I've been running with only my stock front speakers for a long time and they are even plenty without the back, I recommend losing the rear fill.

I don't really know why you're trying to stay away from custom stuff though. Most pre-fab speaker pods aren't very good and it's just as much work to strengthen them as it is to make your own from scratch.
