looking for good single 12 at 2 ohms

with the amp gain all the way up and filter on 80 and radio to a loud volume that sub should play just fine. you may have an issue with your amp. Get a digital multimeter, set it to ac voltage, get a 50Hz test tone and check the ac voltage output from the speaker outputs from the amp. that will let you know if the amp is producing power. it should be somewhere like 24-28 volts ac for 300w-400w.

also, the amp doesn't say which terminals to use when bridging to run one speaker. the amps I've ever seen will tell you which way to wire it when it's bridged so I just want to be sure. I always use the outside terminals, and I did that this time too. although this is supposedly a 1 channel amp, it still has terminals for 2 speakers. it just doesn't say which way to bridge it.
