Looking for compatible subwoofer level control (ECB / RCB) for Planet Audio AC1200.2

Hey all,

I'm looking for a subwoofer level control knob for my Planet Audio AC1200.2 Anarchy amp. It has the 6 pin jack for the remote.

I'm not interested in the universal head unit rca knobs, I would like one that uses the 6 pin connector on the amp.

I've been doing some research, and it seems that any brand of remote may work as long as it's a 6 pin connector. Is that the case?

I'd like to order from Amazon or Ebay if possible.... It seems hard to find a Planet Audio brand knob, but, I'll take anything that's compatible.

Could someone ease help with some info and suggestions?

Thanks a TON in advance,

Matt!

Knobs are not necessarily universal. You are much better off not using the knob as it's a bass boost and not a remote gain. On a 200-300 watt amp like that it's very easy to try and crank the bass boost to get performance out of it that will leave you with a blown sub or amp or both. I would set you gains correctly and of your looking for more power to get a larger amp.

Gary,

Thanks! I thought I read that some of the knobs are actually gain (especially the ones that interface directly with the amp).

Maybe this will help - here's the reason I am looking...

I currently have the amp, Head unit, and subs set perfectly. I never need to adjust anything for MY music. Sometimes the kids like to listen to stuff, and they prefer the subs completely OFF. So, they go into the menus of the head unit and disable the sub. That works, but gets annoying sometimes, and I figured that one of these knobs would save a lot of hassle.

I was hoping the knobs works like this: whatever I currently have the amp set at is what the knob would be at max, and I could just turn down from there on the fly....

Hhmmm...

Thanks again, I'll try and do some more research!

The knob is 0 to +18 so that you would have to set the amp lower and then use the knob. Problem with that is they normally induce distortion. It could possibly work. Better option would be a hidden toggle switch on tge remote turn on wire

i have tested a few things with the planet audio amps remote level controller. the know controls the gain of the amp. I currently am running a p1250d, I bought a 6 prong cable from radio shack and it functioned properly. I aldo found a newer blown legacy amp that came with a 6 prong cable connected to the knob. I plugged it in and it works perfectly. I also have a friend that has the newer apocalypse planet audio amp, and the same scenario. Except he is using an MTX controller.
