Looking for Car Alarm

I am looking for a car alarm that has remote start with it. I have been looking at viper and python alarms. I don't want the hassle of a remote with a screen though because I know I would drop it and break it and I don't want to pay extra money for a replacement so I have narrowed my search down to the viper 5701, python 1601, and python 872.

What would you pick out? The reasons I would get a python is because they are cheaper then the viper.

Also, I have not found much difference between the 1601 and 872 python alarms, is one just a newer model of the other or what?

Look into Compustar car alarms. They have a wide variety of selections to choose from. Check out their website.

If they have basically the same features, then just get the cheaper one. An alarm is an alarm regardless of name brand. Most of these are made at the same place anyways, so you're just paying for the name is all.

Ok cool. Thanks. I ended up with the 5701..searched craigslist and got it for 160$ BNIB..so I feel I did alright.
