Always Hurtin Ears!!
Ok guys I fried my 4 ch amp and finally got the bank card out of the old ladies purse and its time to buy a replacement.

Here is what I have/had:

Power:

180 amp alt

1 OT wire throughout

2 yellow tops (1 in front 1 in back)

Sub stage:

Audiopipe apsm2000 (can't beat it for 75$ bnib)

2 sa15's in 8 cubes tuned at 35 htz wired in 2 ohm

Mid/high stage:

Old Phoenix gold ti500.4 (the amp I am replacing)

4 infinity kappas in stock locations wired in 2 ohm 1 speaker on each channel

I must say that the SA's would over power the mid/high range on heavy bass music. I am looking for more power . I want the fronts to absolutely kill ear drums when I need them to. The kappas are fairly new but I have the money to switch those up too.

So considering I am replacing the ti500.4 wich is like 100x4 at 2 ohm what would u guys be looking at . I have looked at the big ppi 4 ch phantom series as well as a used zapco 360.4 but I am not wild about full range class d amps (unless u guys think otherwise) and the zapco sold b4 I could get to it.

I am thinking 150-175 rms should give me a little more omff. I would be willing to buy new or used . I just want to really light up my midrange.

Any brand/model suggestions would be most welcome I would like to keep it in the 300$ range but for the right amp ill sleep on the couch tonight lol.

Look up the Precision Power P900.4 review on pasmag.com and look at the test of the power output. Also look at the tested frequency response. It has a completely inaudible amount of distortion while making nearly 150W with a ruler flat frequency response. This is backed up by how clean it sounds while making your music painfully loud if you want. Does it have the prestige behind it like JL HD amps or the Alpine PDX-F6? No, but it also costs a fraction of the price of those amps. It's a seriously amazing value.

If you need to get nuts then look at a pair of PPI P600.2s. 190W x 2 @ 4 Ohms. I have these and the P900.4s and P1000.1s in stock.

Well I pulled the trigger on the ppi 900.4 phantom. This lil amp has crazy specs and the bench tests seem to prove it out . For 189$ it seems like a hell of a value. Hope I'm right lol.

Thank for the help guys

Excellent choice on the SSA Evil's. :)

It's a Volvo factory amp, so there's a custom wire harness between the head and amp.
