Looking for an amp for 2 12w7

can you guys please give me som recommendations for an amp that gives out about 1900-2000 watts..ive got one w7 right now and i will get another in about a month so the amplifier will push the single then go to the double w7's...thank you very much

You'll need the amp to put out that power at 1.5 ohms. I'd recommend this amp:

used orion 2500d = $400 and 2500watts, dependng on final load. best amp for the money available anyehere in the world.

i dont need that much i only want about 1000 watts per w7..plus i have the stock electrical so i dont want to get something that will draw lots of power...so anyother suggestions

if u want 1000 per sub, U r going to have to beef up your electrical.

The point is that you have 2 SVC 3 ohm woofers, meaning that you'll need an amp that puts out 2000w at 1.5 ohms. So an amp that puts out 2500 at 1 ohm will be your best bet. And if you want to run 2 kW daily, electrical upgrades are a MUST. There is no getting around it. If you don't want to spend the money on electrical upgrades, I suggest you look into a smaller substage.

i ran my orion 2500d for a year on a stock toyota previa (80 amp altie)

zero problems,

and not even much dimming unless i was really trying.

The 5 farad cap is basically useless. 140 amp alty is fairly decent, especially for stock. And the 2 JL 500/1s won't give each sub 1000w. Besides, the 2 500/1s would cost around the same amount as the aforementioned Orion and a new HO alt.

I would go with a PG tantrum 1200.1

with good electrical u should see 1300-1400 from this amp which is plenty for 2 12w7's..

I'm running 1 12w7 off a 500/1 just fine
