OK, heres the deal. I've got 6 alpine s types in my car right now. I'm adding in a pair of alpine s type 6x9s. I've got two 12" mtx thunder 6000s for the bottom end. Ok, I've bought some half way decent gear, and now I need to install it right. I'm going to be reinstalling all the gear in may. Like I'm making custom enclosures and everything. I need 3 amps to power all of this. I'm going to be displaying the amps, so i'd strongly prefer that they be the same brand, or atleast look good together. I'm currently using a clarion apa450 at 2ohms for my highs, and a shitty no name amp for my subs. I'm going to end up needing two four channel amps, and one amp for the subs. Alll of the alpine coaxials are rated at about 50W rms. My subs are 250W rms each. Any ideas on amps? I'm only willing to spend about 500-600 dollars for all three amps. I was considering mtx, but i'm open to suggestions.

no offense, but i think your setup is crap for the money. with that money i would buy one set of components (or a pair of decent coaxials) for the highs, a sub, and amp(s) to power them. but if that floats your boat.. i guess you're wanting to spend about 200 on each amp sionce your budget is 500-600? and if i read corectly you're going to be using 8 speakers for highs? GOTDAYAMN, what in the hell are you trying to achieve my friend?

don't listen to this jackass---it's your system and he'll never ride in your car.

Hmm... I'm not familiar with either soundstream or dei. I will look into both. Thanks.

If anyone has any other suggestions, I'm all ears.

Ohh, and about that jackass. I'm pretty happpy with my s-types. They may not be the best, but with good positioning, installation, and clean amps to drive them, they will sound better than many poorly installed component speakers. I honestly believe that in most cases, the installation matters more than anything else, unless you just buy complete crap. Also, I allready have subs. They aren't half bad either, and once I build a better enclosure for them, and deaden each one with about 100lbs of sand, they will porbbably sound "better" than a poorly installed low end JL woofer. I guess I also forgot to add that I'm installing fatmat throughout the entire car. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Yea, i'm kind of amazed that people spend thousands on really nice speakers before they sound deaden everything. I've never quite gotten buying two jlw7s only to have your engine be louder most of the time...

dude, i was just giving u my opinion u stupid cocc-succer.. my point being that you have six type S's and you're getting two more 6x9's which is a grand total of 8 coaxial speakers. never in my life have i heard anyone pending an install with 8 coaxials so excuse me if i'm quite surprised, but all i said is thats a waste of money IMO.. why you want 8 coaxials in your ride i don't know but even if you had 8 coaxials that were RE XXX components or some other high-end stuff, i would still say your a fuccing moron for buying so many. are you going to get 2 more subs now? you must hear bass very well and are deaf to highs or some retarded shit like that. so before u want to criticize my gotd@mn opinion and label ME something for giving one, succ a fat cocc and think about what youre saying u stupid $hits. RESPECT.

the problem is he didnt ask what you thought about his stuff. he asked for help to get the amps he needs. you didnt give him 1 bit of that. for that matter neither am i right now.

ANYWAY, have you thought about getting one of the a/d/s 8 channel amps? they are a good company. they used to be amazing, but thats the case with alot of stuff these days. this would make the install take up less space. just another idea.

just think on the bright side, 1 day NOOB with an rs will stop breathing......im praying for tonight
