I like my 2007 Focus ST ...they seem to be great cars...I should be putting some 17" Konig Unknowns on it next week //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

insurance for the 07 tC (under my dads name lol) is $741 every 6 months. under my name (im 18) i cant imagine what it'd be. my parents would pay it, but theyre paying the insurance on my explorer like they always have, and theyre gonna keep paying that, and im paying for the new car, whatever it is i get.

Supercharger: It's eight-nine pounds by default - there is a tamperproof cap on the adjustment that the dealership is supposed to install, .. but replacements aren't hard to find, and they doen't always install them.

I've also read things about the paint, and about the seats - but I believe those are old issues. I haven't had problems with either, and I am very attentive to my paint.

I probably spend more on wax than gas - so no chip would go unnoticed, and I haven't seen any.

My only complaints to date:

* Water paths on the car could've been improved I think. Washer fluid and/or rain comes into the driver's-side window a little bit if it's open and the wipers are going.

* Radio cover had a tiny squeak; Just an overtightened screw.

* Stock tires aren't especially sticky - no unintentional sideways sliding, but did hit ABS once a hard stop when I didn't think the tires should've let go. They're excellent in the rain, though.

^^ All things considered, I'm being pretty picky.

Things that rock:

* Sun/Moonroofs.

* Double-Din & Cover.

* Interior materials & craftsmanship.

* Solid feel.

* Handles and drives well.

* Seats recline and convert to a flat bed-like platform //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

* Even back seats recline

* Appearance

Gotta say this - installation in a tC is so, so easy to do right.

* Headunit area is cavernous! No more wedging harnesses in and breaking your fingers trying to fit three sets of RCA.

I am running six single very stiff fullsize Canare/Beldin RCAs, no issue.

* Lots of space in the doors/panels - can do two sets of 6.5" and tweets easily, with room to spare for passives, deadening and wires.

* The wire-clips beneath the doorsills beg for 0ga - Toyota saved us some space in 'em.

* Folding seats in the back have extra trim panels - amp stash, wires stash, distro stash.

* "Trunk" trim pops out and leaves a really nice space to glass. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Anyway. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Why not pick up one a year or two old on a lease return and save yourself a ton of money? I've never bought a new car and probably never will. A car is one of the worst investments you can possibly make and buying brand new unless you plan on driving it for 10-15 years until it dies is even worse. If you pay $20K for that car the second you drive it off the lot you've lost 20-25% of your money and are immediately upside down in the loan. Do some looking around and see what kind of used car less than 5 years old you could get for that $20K...you'll reconsider your choices.

Just my .02

i just drove an 04 mustang GT with 14k miles...
i think ive made my decision //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Wise choice!

All of my friends give me crap because I have "all the toys" between my truck, the wifes BMW and my motorcycle. You add what I paid for all of them together and it still totals less than what they paid for their wife to drive that new Tahoe off the lot.
