i have been running my RF T2 12" off of my Hifonics BXI 1606 (1100 watts rms @ 2 ohms) for some time now but the other day one of my friends managed to spill his drink on top it and it got into it, i managed to dry it out and it is back working now but the protect light is staying on on the bass knob and the actual amp ands its really scaring me that i may be without bass very shortly.

im not really looking to spend more then 350 on the amp max, im actually considering just getting the newer model of the amp i have (the BXI 1606) but i would like to step up some, if my sub wont blow, to there BXI 2010 (1300 watts rms @ 2 ohms) i really cant imagine it blowing my sub tho

any recomendations or support would be appreciated

I dunno if this is allowed but on smd.com (stevemeadedesigns.com) theres a guy selling RF t1000 amps..refurb'd i think for 200$ for first 10 sold then 300 for each after that. You can also get a P1000 brand new on ebay for like 300$, great amp they do well over 1000 watts at 1 ohm i think some have been benched at like 1400

hmm well i went looking around that forum and i found a RF T1500 that is rated 1000 watts rms @ 2 ohms and actually did 1221 rms @ 2ohm (unfortunately already sold) it seams possible to be found for 350 and the hifonics BXI 2010 for 300 at its cheapest

i would have to imagine that the would the T1500 be a better investment?
