Power Acoutik Amps

I saw on Best Buy today that they are now selling Power Acoustik amps and are fairly cheap. Anybody ever had any experience out of these amps?...do they rly put out what there rated at?

had several back in the day b4 i actually knew what good stuff was and they done pretty well but def not rated power although i did run a LT-980 at 1.33ohms for around 6 months b4 it decided to let go. made pretty well just dont do there rated power.

the only ones i would run are the old school ab3000d or w/e. The LT series sound distorted at any level.

oh ok...im just lookin for a cheap amp to run 2 10s on....i been out of the CA world a lil while and lookin to get back in.....lookin at Type R's....ran off one of the power acoustik amps.

Hifonics Bix series are good cheap amps that will do close to rated power...

iv run them for years no problems at all... Better than Pa for sure IMO

A3000db will put out rated...as long as you have good electrical and make sure your impedence at the amp is actually the 1 ohm it states..and not just using your nominal impedence and saying it doesnt put out rated(like most of the idiots on here who say they are running such high power numbers and you ask what their dmm says when amp is off and dmm is set to ohms....and they say idk)

PA amps are equal in value to the price you pay. They'll do 3/4 of the rated power and will last as long as you take care of them. They aren't meant to be beat on like other amps. People who don't like them are those who expect more from it than they should. You're paying a low price for a reason.

They plain ****. I had a 480lt/2 or something like that and it sounded clipped at low level too

PA are decent budget amps just like he said, just don't expect or push them too hard and they are fine. for the money hifonics is a huge deal better.

would the PA amps be decent to run my doors off of?...i drive a 1993 ranger ...anybody kno relativelt off the top of their heads how many watts (rms) i could push b4 i needed to upgrade batt or alt?

Looks like 95A stock.

You shouldn't have much trouble up near 1000w rms.

You could probably run more than that OK, but you will get to the point where your alt is working so hard so often that you will shorten its life significantly.

BTW - I ran an older PA OV4-800 for a couple months. They're OK amps, usable on a budget IMO.
