looking for a midrange, dome or cone, 5 inch cutout

looking for a good quality midrange 4 -8 ohm. the cutout has to be 5 inches. it could be dome midrange. it needs to be good quality. price range is $100-$200 a pair. crossover point will be 800-4500hz

Go to Madisound.com or Parts Express.com and look at the mids they have available. A vifa D75 would probably work but the flange may need to be trimmed a little (easy with a Dremel tool). They are the equivalent of the Dynaudio version. Morel also makes some very nice dome midranges all that will operate in the frequency range you are looking for.

Might find a pair of DLS IR3 domes for the price, used.

i wish i could find even much info on the dls domes, right now i seem to be leaning towards the usher dome midrange. the vifa needs a rear chamber. and the usher has the right size mounting. i wish dome mids where more avaiable.
