Well I'm back again. Originally joined the site when I had a nissan maxima. I bought a kenwood headunit, kicker 10" L5, and an orion 600d amp...boy do I wish I would have held on to that amp nowadays! Then I bought an Acura CL-S and put an infinity basslink II in it which I really enjoyed. Moved onto a 350z which I crashed. Now I've got a 1991 Acura Legend LS Sedan with the stock bose premium system. The car is not worth much, around $2,XXX, so I don't plan on buying a new h/u and speakers. The Bose system sounds good enough for me, but lacks low bass.
So the question is should I just buy another Basslink II which is right at $300 with a wiring kit? Or should I buy a seperate sub, amp, and box? I'm not into SPL anymore...more SQ. I listen to rock, mainly; Pearl Jam, STP, Audioslave, RAGE, Incubus, Bush, Chili Peppers. But I also still listen to RAP; Lil Wayne, T.I., DMX, Eminem, DRE, The Game, etc and a little bit of techno such as Bassnector.
I'm by no means an audiophile. I really don't care if the neighbors can hear it...I like clean and crisp bass over decibles. I've been shopping around and these are what I'm interested in unless you have other suggestions:
10-12" Alpine Type R
or
10-12" JL Audio W3
Alpine 500.1 amp
Sealed box
Thanks in advance
