its rated at 16v. the hk4000d's are rated at 17v. my old school however is rated at a nicee 14.4v

Actually those are a newer model.Came from the smae line as the 4000d just a HC amp not d class.

really. idk i hear the hk4000 are hard on electrical, but i have a nice one set up. two hc 2400s rear, hc 2000 front, big three, 300 amp alt so idk. i want two of the amps for both my mts

I got 2 d's right now!Current hogs like a mother!!I run 4 batts in the rear as well as one up front.Very little voltage drop.

The SX line is nice as well,either way though your gonna need electrcal which it looks like you got it.

These amps really shine at 16v.....
