Looking for a 2000wrms amp

Hey guys, Ive finally decided that I want to use 2 12" TypeX's in a ported box but im not sure what amp to run? How about a Hifonics 1606D? But that makes all its power at 1ohm when the subs are 4ohm? Can you guys help me out in picking a good amp for this setup?

Are you on a budget? If not look for a Fosgate T20001BD, if you are I would go with a Hifonics BXi 2608D

I forgot to mention I wanna keep it under 350$ for an amp.

For a little bit more you could get an AQ2200.

If I didn't decide to keep my VFL, I would have bought one.

the type x is an awesome sub....in the right box. put them in a nice sealed box and throw 2200 watts on them and watch (or listen) to them shine

Would the typexs' handle a 1ohm load?

Im getting a new car this weekend....more than likely a 98 Chevy Blazer.

Right away im gonna do a zero gauge wring kit, and the Big3.

Anything else I should do to make it more capable of handling 2000wrms?

possibly upgrade your battery....that would be my next move.....theres lots of good batteries available.

I would also consider this sub. Its about half price of the Type X and seems to be a monster..I have been hearing some very good things about them and the price is right on them thats for sure! 1000 RMS...for $100
