Looking for a 10" sub to order today for my truck, any suggestions? Info in thread

Hey guys,

I had a thin mount 10" Type R on order. But due to sonicelectronix dicking around a week later they tell me it's on backorder. I am taking a trip this weekend and would like to get something before the trip.

I have a wedge box in my supercrew truck, it's small, right at .5 cubic feet. My amp is a Soundstorm that I got a steal on(I could upgrade in the future but that's not in the plans now) that runs

2-Ohms : 850 Watts x 1 or 4-Ohms : 500 Watts x 1

The Type R was around 300 shipped. I would like to stay at or under that. I do not need to follow any type whatever the cult subs are now, Sundown? I just want something that is loud with some accuracy. I would like something I can get before Saturday also.

Please shoot some ideas I really don't know what 10's with .5 cu. ft are exceptional.

Do you have any experience with RF subs? I've never really heard any that sounded great to me. But, I've been out of the scene for about 3 years.

id go with factory box specs from sundown. theres plenty of box builders and designers on here that if you give them your max dimensions they can make you a perfect fit.

I already have the box made. The shallow Type-R fell through. I wanted something before the weekend, but I doubt that's going to happen. I wonder how the Sundown would compare to the Shallow Type-R for half the price?

The sundown will own the type r but it will require the spacer to fit shallow mount subs in small sealed do not get loud ported maybe but the limited excursion from being shallow really limits output in sealed boxes

Screw it. For $165 shipped, I ordered the Sundown. I'll give it a try sealed. If needed I will build a ported box for it(which I'm sure eventually I will). I have access to a full cabinet shop so I'll get the eagerness to want to build a ported box.
