HCCAfan for starters your talking about 2 totally different series by hifonics. The bx is the entry level line and the XX is their new pro line. Take a look on realm of excurion at the many people putting up major scores on the new TL using none other then the XX series hifonics amps.

example be sure to check out this vid: 15" Avalanche in a twin rear horn powered by a Hifonics XX-Colossus. He's playing a 35Hz tone.

Well you claim the XX series hifonics is dirty, but if it performs, puts up scores, and the subs dont blow, then whats the problem? Yes their are many other companies out there that will do so called better clean power such as crossfire, memphis, kicker, elemental design, mmats, tru technology, harrison labs, spl, orion etc.....

Now your talking crazy. Do you think the guys running XX colossus winning prize moneys, titles, and trophies are worried about having a orion 2500d over their XX colossus? HELL no plus you cant justify that the XX series is so called "dirty watts" you have experienced the BX series which by far doesnt compair to the XX series other then similiar looks.

you both have really good points but you have to realize that im going to be driving an uberwoofer not trying to win an spl comp. i still like the idea of the XX because it fits into the power range that i want to throw at it

I have gotten price money for local comps and so fourth. Its really choice, but there are many that will tell you the XX series will be fine. I think snova31 on here (a mod) actually uses an XX series amp. Also if you want to talk a walk back to realmofexcursion check out steel city sounds with his 4 bx1605d hifonics amps and his 4 kicker L7 15s and tell me it matters that he is using hifonics amps. If you have the money bro and it dont matter then why not get an spl dynamics amp?
