looking for 4 5x7

im lookin for some more also, if anyone has heard both the PIONEER TS-D681R 6x8s and the crystal ssx coaxials let me know which one is better as far as clarity and midrange.

If you can up your budget another $100:

Front Comps: Alpine SPR-57LS (60w max rms each)

Rear Coax: Alpine SPS-57C2 (50W max rms each)

Amp: Power Acoustik LT720/4

That should make a decent setup.

I'd go with the REV's and a Profile amp. Can get the 4 channel for around $75 direct as a refurb. Got one in the GF's car driving 4 Polk Db's and it's a nice budget system.

I'm running REV's in the rear deck and am VERY happy with them. They get very loud and stay clean. I high pass them around 150Hz though since I don't need any bass out of them...

i have actually tried a set of the rev 6x8"s. they are a good speaker. i would actually go with the boston SL80's because they sound good and are an easy installation. just drop in installation is required. but if you wanted to keep the price down, i would make a template and drop in a 6.5" or the oversized tsd-170r in the stock location.
