looking for (2) 8" subs and an amp...

Building my own box and i'm not sure how much airspace there will be yet but looks like 8's are the only way to go. I'm looking to hopefully get a couple 8" subs and an amp for $150 or so. I was talking to a guy i know online and he was saying Lanzar amps were really under rated and worked well but he didn't know about the subs. I watched a few videos on YouTube and saw that they hit pretty well and i've found the Lanzar MAX8's for $21 each which is cheap! anyone have them though? Also on the amp set up he was saying a mono instead of a 2 channel and the ones we found for +/- $75 from Lanzar are slightly higher RMS watts than the subs but he said just turn it down so it'll run cooler too.

Sorry for kind of a long post but i'm just trying to get set up right and not wanting to spend more than $200 for the whole thing (why i'm building the box). I listen to mostly Country, Classic Rock, Hardcore and old school stuff like Beastie Boys, 2Pac

you have them in classifieds or just have them? Shallow mount maybe a better way to go cause i could angle them out a little instead of having them hit right under my back seat.

Lanzer opti's are good and worth the asking price any of the lower lines they sell are not so good.. But with a $150 budget for a amp and 2 8's you really dont have many good choices..

With such a tight budget I would go with 1 quality 8 over 2 crap 8's. I see u have a king cab so a ported box should be easy to fit under rear seats....

i've got a guy trying to sell me a box for 4 10's right now for $100 but i can't buy that many subs or an amp big enough right now...lol. don't really need that much either.

the box i'm building is going to come off the center console straight back so i still have space under the seat on either side of the box, theres 4.5" from the center hump to the bottom of the seat and i'm pretty **** about having everything centered/symmetrical...lol. i'm weird sorry

Also, here are some nice budget 8's - http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-200 they are a tad cheaper but I bet with shipping they will be about the same price as the PPI's.

cool thanks... i havn't heard of any of these...lol. i was checking out the JBL's JBL GTO804 800W 8" Single 4 ohm GTO Series Car Subwoofer/Sub Woofer | eBay cause i've heard of them before, you think the ones you posted are better than these or no? i could go up to $200 or so...

The ones I listed are quality and the names are very well known in the audio world maybe just not as mainstream as RF, Kicker.. That JBL looks to be decent and you never really hear much bad about JBL so could be a toss up. But for my money the PPI's win.
