SI is not going to have it in 12" size...but that could just be for the mag

I think you meant to say 10", but if the mounting depth is the issue why not go for a 12 if a 12 fits the criteria?

The Sundown's are a good choice if you're looking for something right now.

just picked up an ed 10o.44 flat cone, depth is 5.5 and requires only a .5 to .7 cf

*ponders* I hope they release pricing soon. I need a shallow mount and may get the ED's instead if they are going to be a good deal cheaper.

And if you're concerned over price only, why not go with a less expensive 8" sub? The BM's will out-displace other 10" flat cone subwoofers by almost double...so in essence, it will be less expensive (or another way of looking at it is that it will offer double the performance for only a fraction more cost, giving you a better solution to a shallow mount problem).

Thanks for letting me know about the pricing (last time I checked, it was not posted or I just couldn't find it).

Going from 100 shipped to 149 shipped is not a problem so I'll be going the BM route (for the reasons you posted above and others).
