Looking at Small SUV's (Honda CRV)

Im looking around for a bigger vehicle to replace my Honda since I realized I cant go from a truck to a a 2 door Accord and be happy with the room I have... I was looking at the 2000 ish CRV's and was wondering if anyone has had one or currently does? I was also wondering what you guys would suggest other then the CRV's? Must be around 5000, get about the same mileage, and hopefully have fold down seats/4 doors things like that...

hmm, don't know if you can find one cheap enough but my wife loves her nissan rogue krom awd. gets great gas mileage

My mom has Murano and its a great car and pretty peppy as well but like you said I dont think I can get one cheap enough... I am buying a new truck at some point so I dont wanna spend a ton on this sense itll just be a good 2nd daily get around car...

You can try and find a Ford Escape...I just sold my 2003 4wd with 87,000 original miles for $5000...It was clean and had the V6 got 24mpg around town and about 30mpg on the hwy...It was Mazda made I think...I had bought it for an SPL build but changed my mind...It drove really well and was peppy for a small SUV

I have a 2009 CRV, the newer model, not the box style, and it is great for acoustics. The ratings say it has a lot of road noise, but when you open up the inside of the door panels, you will see why, but not something that cannot be fixed. overall, I get about 23miles per gallon average on city, and 27 on hwy. It's a great vehicle with enough room for a family of 4. You can wall one of these up pretty well as well after the B pillar if interested. Just some thoughts.

I have heard that but after so many bad things heard about explorers I was iffy...

Well, if you want more room without having to do too much to the vehicle, I would actually recommend your truck with a blow-through design would be great for what you are looking for it seems. Your going to have to do some carzy work to any vehicle, but for room vs install, I would say again, a truck with the blow-through. best option for less changes to interior work as well. Mainly dampening is the priority in these cases, and some bracing in the interior, but the enclosure and load and source amps can be done exterior of the cabin, which can be very beneficial for room. What do you think?

Explorers are all Ford built the Escape is Mazda built...same as Mazda Tribute that you could check on...

O no I couldnt cut my truck lol... I cant get a truck that gets good mileage either and I sell stuff to much to do such heavy modification to a vehicle like that (resale reasons)

I have an 03 Escape XLT and love it. I'm at 96k (second owner and first was an older woman that drove it to work) and the only thing I have replaced are brakes and tires. It does get great mileage if you don't drive it like a supercar.
