hey im puttin out a little money (300) bucks to get a new sub i have a jl 12w3 right now lookin for somehting that will pound *** and is at or under 300 but i was willing to compromise and get a 12w6v2. but i dont know help me out. and what are the XXX subs?

ima prob. run my audiobahn 410 max watt with it. and it doesnt have to perform to its full potenitiol if its say a 600wat sub 410 watts if fine fr me, because i was runnin my jl 12w3 off 100 watts adn it was alright listening level, prob. cuz if i hooked the 410 up to it i couldnt hear my sucky *** door speakers

First how do you know your only running your W3 at 100 watts? Did you set the gain with a DMM?

or did you just turn it down 1/4th of the way? Cause if thats the case....

Speaker wise you have alot of options, including purchasing another W3.

I Have It Bridged Right Now 410 Watts And Before I Had It On 1 Of The Two Channels Which Is 100 Watts Rms On Both Channels And I Was Considering Buying Another W3 If I Had 2 W3's Could I Use That Same Amp And Run Both Subs Brided At 410 Watts? Would It Split The Power Or Give Each Sub 410 Watts?

if its a 2 channel you cant add another sub (assuming your current sub is a dual 2 ohm to have it bridged right now) because two subs would drop your impeadence in half and your amp wouldnt be able to take it. you could buy another and wire them both to 4 ohms and then run them on seperate channels but then youd only get 100 wrms to each sub, and it would end up around the same volume as one of those subs bridged (or less)

you can get some great subs for 300, but i dont think many will "pound ***" with that amp.

i think your amp is whats holding you back right now. it might be worth it to spend only a couple hundred on subs, save a hundred towards your amp, and then save up a little more to buy the amp.

also, JL audio is a GREAT company... but it sounds to me liek you listen to rap (saw the boss hogg thing under your name) and for rap music JL might be a waste of money. sure rap will sound great on JL subs but youre paying for a lot of sound quality and you dont need so much of that for just rap.. a little will be enough.

im thinking some comp VRs, L5 solo barics, memphis PRs, or the ever popular 05 type Rs would treat you strong and youd be beatin a lot harder than the just the w3 alone.

but.. correct me if im wrong on what youre looking for in a substage.

also about the amp thing, it says its 2ohm stable and my subs are 4ohm dual voice coil.

or I could just buy another amp, just not a expensive *** one.

and i would really like to use my amp i already got i got it chea adn i just invested in a whole in car video system

hmmm so you have a dual 4 hooked up to a 2 channel amp hooked up at 2 ohms? or do you have two dual 4 w3s and theyre both hooked up to the amp bridged at 4 ohms?

your amp may be 2 ohm stable.. but im sure that would be stereo not bridged.. basically its not 2 ohm stable if youre bridging it.. and if its hooked up that way now it probably runs extremely warm.

you can do whatever you want but i suggest a new amp and new subs. sell what you have. im sure the w3 would go quick on this forum.. the amp might take a while to sell.. but its worth it to just do it right instead of trying to squeeze your budget and make what you have work. youd be a lot happier if you just got a decent $200 amp thatll give you like 1000 watts and some more spl geared subs. (JL audio and budget dont go together liek i said before)
