Or it means "Hey, we know you are going to beat the absolute piss out of these, so we will stitch them to add additional strength to them."

I've never had any problem with any other surround separating from the cone, so what makes these special? I beat on everything I have...but judging how some retards on here put 2x-3x rated power on them and then wonder why something goes wrong, I guess every safety precaution should be taken.

To me, Audiobahn makes tacky subs, Alphasonik makes tacky subs, hell even kicker's stuff is tacky. But a normal looking sub with a stitched surround doesn't fall in that category. These are the kinds of subs you beat the piss out of, and adding the stitching on top of using normal gluing means fewer recones they might have to do under warranty.

Hell, it might just be for cosmetics. I honestly think it looks really nice, kind of like the contrasting stitching you find in higher-end auto interiors

i just looked at the bottom of the cone,, there is plenty of glue an the stiches are not cosmetic.. they are all the way threw,, i thinks it just for more strength,, plus it gives a new look,, its like new cars every year they got new curves well this is diffrent
