It's something to do with the output coils that people have posted pics of burned up, and also a clearance issue from the board to the heatsink. Both are issues.
At this point it's my understanding that if you have one of these amps you are supposed to send it here, be sure your name and address is on it somewhere, better yet, go to our Ticket system and create a ticket,

If you send your amp here, we pass the info onto RD and they will send you a new amp as soon as they get the replacements from the factory, if you want your original amp repaired you will need to pay for the repair. Apparently RD IS getting the build house to replace all of the amps. RD is going to send me one of the new "sample" amps to go over and make sure it isn't going to have any problems like the last ones did, then once I give the okay they are going to give any suggestions to the build house and then have them send the replacement amps.
This is the latest. I talked with the new RD guy today and that's pretty much the plan he gave to me.
As far as what will be done with the amps that get replaced, well, if they are messed up to the point that we need parts from the factory to fix them I think we are just gonna trash them, if they are repairable then I will repair them and either I or RD will be selling the repaired and recall fixed units at some point in the future. The main thing they have been waiting on lately was for me to complete my analysis of what went wrong with the last batch to make sure it didn't happen again with the new batch. Doing my best to make sure the next ones are not going to have the same problems. I have completed my analysis and passed that info onto RD today, and they are going to go over it and pass it onto the build house and send me that sample amp to look at.
