LOL @ RD Audio & if RD owes you something (RD super fail topic)

Or... Can someone tell me how I can go about just getting my money back instead... I know there is people that have gotten their money back but I don't know how.

Here's my conversation with the new part owner. I started these PM's in responce to his thread to PM him if you are still missing items. Got the round about again. No actual answers as per usual. I've been trying to be nice and not post negative stuff on the board, but I'm over it:

address

Purchased through the pre-sale on CACO. Paypalled Steve.

Product: 2200v2

It has now been so long that I have moved. The above address is the address I used to live at. For the meantime, the address is still accessible to me, so shipping there is still fine, but I DO need a tracking number once shipped so I know when it gets there so I can pick it up and not have it sitting outside for a week.

Any idea when these are going to be done?

Please get back to me,

Are you going to get a 1750.1 instead? If wanted, give me new shipping address please.

seedubs1

No. I want the 2200v2 as long as it's not going to go up in smoke. If not, I want a refund. The 1750 won't give me enough juice.

And for the meantime, my address I gave will work. I just need to know when it will get there. If that house sells before you guys send the amp out, I will be in contact to change that shipping address.

Any estimated dates on the 2200v2's yet?

Thanks for the quick reply. Much appreciated,

-Dubs

Ok gotcha. I am not sure on 2200 updates honestly. I am so busy trying to fix this 3250v2 issue

seedubs1

I know you guys are having problems with the 3250's, but the 2200's need to get taken care of as well. We've been waiting just about as long. And the prototype lit up just like the 3250s did.

Is there any possibility of a refund at this point? If not, I guess I'll just wait.

Thanks again for the info, it is appreciated,

I am not totally sure my friend. I would have to get with Steve on that. I thought most were getting a 1750 in place due to 2000+ rms amp as well. I am not familier with this 2200, sorry.

seedubs1

I know he is offering to do 1750's as a replacement. But it's not what I paid for. I need closer to 3k, and the 2200v2's were advertised to do 2.8kw. I either want what I paid for, or a refund. One of the two.

Please do get with Steve to find out what is going on with them. If you had not been informed, the prototype ended up roasting just like the 3250's did.

Thanks again for the replys,

-Dubs

Ok, I will know a lot more once I sit down and get with him on all of this. I will be more informed then and can have answers

seedubs1

Sounds great man. Please let me know what's going on once you find out.

Thanks again for dealing with all of this. I know it has been a big mess for you guys,

Keep looking at the forum, I will update when new info out!

I think I was more than nice, and I'm just sick of not getting any answers. I will say that it was nice to have the new guy actually get back to me in a timely fashion, though.

Oh, and it has now been a week since the last communication, and still no word on updates.

Ok, so are there two models that he is having trouble with or just one? I thought it was just one.
2 both the 3250 and the 2200. the pics that seedubs1 posted of his 2200 posted looked nasty. he has been dealing with the waiting just as long as the 3250 crap

The toasted 2200v2 wasn't mine. It was the only prototype that Steve sold to the public. Nobody has recieved an actual production model 2200v2.

I have yet to recieve anything from RD other than PM's stating that I can "upgrade" to a smaller amp for "no charge."

I spoke with him about when he's expecting the new 3250s and he said that they sent them via airship on tuesday(?), cant remember if it was tuesday or monday. And airship from china usually takes 4-5 business days. They should be here within next week if the buildhouse actually sent them.

Have you read any of the horror stories about him selling beat up used equipment as "mint like new condition"? Check the sticky in the classifieds about how he sold a guy a blown amp as "mint condition". Yeah, I'd say his customer service does make the equipment bad.
Dealing with RD Audio is a gamble. You buy something then you get it 6 months later if you get it at all. I lost count of the guys that bought something that was "boxed ready to go and would ship immediately" then didn't see it for 3-4+ weeks. The guy that got the "mint condition" blown amp had to have a friend go pick it up in person weeks after it was supposedly shipped.

Seriously, why would anyone want to do business with a company like this?

I will vouch for this statement. I'm not one to rain down on someone's parade but I myself have dealt with this type of situation with RD. I was a bit aggravated to say the least when I received a "BRAND NEW" D9 in "Used" condition. Not only were there nics and scratches on the amp, the bass remote was laying in the box in pieces due to improper packaging. RCA connections bent in as well. Took 2 full day's to contact Steve in which I was rushed off the phone once I let the issue be known due to him being at traffic court. Still waiting on the bass remote. Original order was placed over a month ago. Not quite sure how someone who should have professional antics can be so "amateur" when handling business transactions.
