Had something to do with someone I consider a friend. APPARENTLY and opinion like that (inferior box) is not formed out of the blue. So Strass boxes are being talked about. Matt and ballz seem to be chums and Matt has questioned the box design when Jake was blowing up subs. Maybe in your quest to get louder it came up.
If the butthurt *** gets you louder then more power to you. For the work you put in I want you to get there. I was semi serious when I said it was your fault.

As for the 21" subs from IA, here is how you find proof. Find anyone who bought one, then used it and had it last and not fail, few examples would be DSMW, headlesskoopa, and I think Iamtehpimp had some as well. Those are just three people I know that all bought them and had them all fail... find one person who is still running them

Ill let you in on a little secret. There is NOT a problem with our 21" subwoofers. As a matter of fact, there are tons of them out there all around the world (literally) that are beating the block down as we speak. I have personally hand built every single 21" subwoofer we have ever shipped out of our doors. On occasion, I build a recone or 2 for a competitor......this is normal.....competitors break stuff. UPS also likes to break stuff. Robin (iamp3pimp) had to recone his subs to a higher impedance....he was trying our new dual .35 ohm coils and his box rise was not high enough for them to work out. Im not sure about the other 2 guys you mentioned, but if they had a problem, Im sure we either fixed their problem, or they sold their subs before we could. It is VERY rare that I send out a recone for a broken 21" subwoofer.

Man we are getting right into this ain't we?...lol I keep popping in. I can't stop checking it!

I'd sure like some links to the discussions on them 21's tho.

I would like to see them as well........I would love to help these guys out if they had a mishap

IA sucks because they are pretty much the only company making 21"s and they won't sell any parts LOL... seriously though, I won't buy from them just because of that.

Makes sense huh? Maybe one day some other company will follow suit and make a nice 21.....don't worry it will happen.

Why invest tons of cash into tooling nice stuff for us to have, then just sell it to whoever wants to build their own speaker?

and building a NICE 21" from what I hear wouldn't be "fallowing suit" it would be above and beyond what IA is doing. You are in business to make money, the way I see why turn down any chance at a sale? Seems pretty dumb to me but... Hell, AQ sold me parts before I even purchased anything from them and now that is pretty much the only company I will buy from and the only company I will suggest to people who come to the shop.

LOL... my HD315 took my XXX-6500D @ 1ohm like champ for a long time, took the Memphis 4Kw for a while too. I ended up selling it because I wanted out of car audio but the HDC brought me right back in LOL...

and you said 21'S as in a pair? so my single 15" took the same power as a pair of your 21"s and I never had an issue

Wow.....so you think you can use OUR motor, OUR basket, OUR cone/surround and just throw some random coil and spiders in there, and you suddenly have an awesome sub huh? Why do you think we even offer a 21"? You must not have read my post above either.....I build these things every single day, and RARELY have one come back.....

actualy... I was planning to use an Atomic APX 856 motor... only thing I wanted from IA was a basket and cone/surround... however when I emailed IA i was told no right off teh bat because I wasn't using all IA stuff... so I figured may be I would have a better chance if I BS'd. Obviously that didn't work. Also, I did read your post... what does that have to do with anything? Would anyone really expect you to say "oh yeah, I get those 21s back for recones all the time", probably not...

I personaly don't have any experience with your products/company and as of now, I don't plan to. do you care? Probably not because I am only one person but any business person knows... If someone has a good experience with your company, they might tell a couple people but if someone has a bad experience with your company, they will tell EVERYONE.... now with AQ, I had a nice experience before I ever used their stuff and as a result I purchased and used their stuff... Not only in my cars but in probably 100~ installs or so this year. Doesn't seem like much but then you have the snowball effect where they tell people and then those people tell people and on and on...
