Just got back from a show in TN. Mostly minitrucks but here are a few installs I lol'd about.

Looks like he might get his head busted open on a quick stop. I actually seen this on a couple cars....

2 sets of 3-way eclipses

This guy had solid line running to some audiobahns. Although I didn't like the setup, it was executed very well. I was curious how these solid lines affect anything.

I just have never seen it before and thought it was interesting. Although they are bahns, the fames did match the rest of his setup very nicely.

The eclipse sounded like a bag of kittens being pelted by rocks.

eh i gotta say original for the hard line thing.... they could of stranded in some copper speaker wire into that who knows... looks great tho witch is odd for a audiobahn install...I hate to say it but i see lots of clean audiobahn installs. Too bad people dont know what kinda crap it really is...

Was this slammin and Jammin?
If so I was looking at the results on the USACi forums. A few loud cars there...

If anyone is going tomorrow, go up to the USACi Judge (Mike Darville) and tell him Clif said him and his trophies are worthless.
They allowed people to open the doors during the comps. I thought that was against the rules so I walked away.

I did see some kid bust a 146 in 0-600 with two audiopipe 12s, and a crunch amp. He didn't know how many cf the box was or tuning.

Two 4" areoports

Yes it was Slamming and Jamming. The SPL area was disorganized because people kept driving through the lanes with their non-spl systems...

I have been running Audiobahn for a little over 2 years now in a few different installs. I am very impressed with the High Excursion line from them.

Thats USACi...Not dB Drag.

USACi is outlaw metering (doors open or closed Mic in the Kick panel)

The solid conductors are somewhat of a bad idea, very low surface area as compared to stranded.
im doubtful the amount of current involved is even a factor. i would actually be more concerned about something arcing or touching the wires without insulation.

i just did a search about the stranded vs solid wires though, learned something i didnt know about them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif . the stranded wires dont have more surface area, they have more surface area around the outside, where the electricity likes to travel in an AC circuit. I thought that was kind of interesting.
