Called a local shop in San Diego about installing some gear for me,consisting of a set of comps, two amps and and a sub, comps will be mounted to mdf and so forth crossovers to be ran to trunk area.Estimate was 6 to 7 bills,How does that sound for even quality work? What would you expect to pay for this at a reputable shop.

sounds like a little too much, a shop over here in Irvine(an hr away from sd), Gold Star Audio, charged me 90 for installing my comps and the amp. they did a good clean job too. sub and amp should be another 70. i dont know about the cost of mounting your comps to the mdf though.

are they building amp racks and a sub box for you?
no,he did mention something about if you want a beauty board but i think that was in addition to the price.i understand they will charge more since i got my gear elsewhere but ****.

I went their once to ask if they had some crossover screws.
I was surprised that they are practially in an alley. Not really anywhere people could see them.
The front is on Kurtz but the rear is basically an alley, not a great location at all.
