LOC Rear Speakers

If I tap into my rear speakers using a David Navone LOC can you I still keep the rear speakers running off of the wires as well?

I'm just looking to tap into the rear speakers right now and hook up a sub and amp using an loc. So far i've got the david navone LOC. Now I'm thinking of spending 250-300 on a sub and amp and encloser. I have a mazda6 so the trunk is very big...so i have pretty much room. What is the most power i can get for that price range? I was thinking like a 12" sub or maybe 2. Let me know.
