LOC and or Line Driver

I want to used my factory HU because its a 6 disc changer and mp3. Whats the best thing to use to get my 4 channel and 2 channel amp working the best. I have a older LOC and its only 2 channel. Thanks

it will be a 4 channel and a 2 channel. I may just do the sub amp. Wondering if its worth all the trouble. Wondering how other ppl run systems in there cars and keep the factory HU

I did a LOC install in my taurus before I got a proper head unit.

Its not all that difficult.

Here are your wire colors if you didnt already have or know them for a LOC install. The car you are talking about is the one in your sig right?

LF Speaker (+) WHITE

LF Speaker (-) WHITE/BROWN

RF Speaker (+) WHITE/PURPLE

RF Speaker (-) WHITE/ORANGE

LR Speaker (+) BROWN/GREEN

LR Speaker (-) BROWN/YELLOW

RR Speaker (+) BROWN/WHITE

RR Speaker (-) BROWN/BLUE

Check your 2 channal line driver. if it has high level inputs than that unit itself can act the job that the LOC would. From there would send that signal into the 6 ch line driver, and then to your amps.

or find a a 6ch line driver with high level inputs. anything with high level inputs allows you to connect the stock speakers wires into the unit to get the signal, thus eliminating the need for an external LOC.

I used the memphis unit in my truck, Gives me front rear and sub out, a remote line out and works great.

i'll be using an Audiocontro Three.1 in my Rogue. high level left and right in and get 6 channels out at 7 volts

I have used the JL clean sweep its a little bit of a pain but makes things sound pretty good.

exactly. btw I am not sure if you decided on using comps in your car yet but I have some adapters made.

The memphis driver is on ebay for like 95.00. I like the Audiocontrol buts its kind of pricey.. I could just get a new HU. The memphis might work out better. Are there other good ones that will allow me to run a 4 channel and a 2 channel amp? Do you think I will get better sound out of the 6x8's or running 6.5 comps in the front. I think I am going to leave the rear alone because they are in the doors. How much are the adapters for the front.
