Hey i have a friend looking for a cheap setup for subs he wants 2 12" in a ported enclosure he doesn't want to have a box built so a pre built is what he's after. His budget is about 240 bucks and I have been out of the scene for too long to recommend anything.

I sold him my old Crescendo BC2000D so his options are open bit i dont really know whats out there for cheap subs in boxes. I was thinking like maybe some cheap pre fab kickers or mtx?

I believe it was 1100 at 2 ohm. Yeah I was kinda pushing him to just get a decent 12 and get a proper box built at like around 35-40 Hz.

what about the Sundown love?? Nobody suggesting a LCS-12 D4 on a budget?? This thing look like it with hands down spank the shlt outta most kicker/ pioneer/kenwood subs for the money.



Pair em up and your at 1 ohm. Im sure 300w is very conservitive on Jabocs 2" coils. Still Just enough left over to buy the mdf and screws/glue!

Edit: thers still 50 in the yardsale at $45 per.. i may buy a set just for shlts

yeah 35hz is good.. i guess that amp has a ss filter

I agree with the Sundown LCS or maybe some of the soundqubed hds3 not sure of the price on those, but I would rather buy to good subs and the best prefab box I could afford then buy a loaded package of crap. and later down the road maybe you could con him into getting a custom box or who knows someday you might even run across one that will work good for the subs you get. Or hit up the pawn shops in Craigslist you might find good Subs that are already in a custom box that you could easily get with your budget

two rockville K9/K6 15s in a sealed prefab.

prefab, you have to go sealed. And going sealed, you have to go with giant cone area to match what a proper custom ported sub can do.
