Hello, I was wondering if I could get by with this alternator, I doubt it's a true HO alt, but my system will only be 2200 watts, could I get by with this?

Ran one in my explorer. Held up under 6k rms.

So Terra do you think these are a good solution to what I need? I don't want to spend 300-500 for an alt for a car I won't own for too much longer, I still need a battery too...do you think I could get away with a hc1800 or any other brand that's around the 1800?

Say your engine was spinning at 5k rpm; Since your crankshaft pully is much larger in diameter than the alternator's tiny pully... The alt will be spinning much higher revs.
