How does this 3 way sound to you??? Decisions

seems like you're talking about a 4way active setup //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i think he is counting the substage

I currently have a 3 way active all CDT audio Europort
ES07 midbass

ES4 Midrange

ES02 2" tweeter
okay i was just checking because alot of people think thata it so easy to tune a 3-way set-up when they havnt even done a 2-way nor have the time or skill to do it correctly. I never heard those morel drivers before but I run Peerless exclusive 7in mids and they are really amazing in output and detail. They blew my last set-up away.

He assumed you had a subwoofer in your system. 4-way active is at least 7 channels of amplification. 3-way is at least 5 channels.

I thought you were being a smart ***, but im glad you clarified, i know going active is a PITA specially 3 way.

I'm not sure if i want to go with a 7" peerless or 8" peerless, the 8" would be a pain in the behind to fit on my doors but how much do i gain or lose by going with a 7" which would be a lot easier to install and fab on the doors

Me a smart ***?...lol anyways It would of been a absolute pain in the ***(or iam just lazy) to do a 8in so I went with the 7. I guess it depends on th install but I dont think it would be a huge difference if I stepped to a 8.

It's not the speakers, it's the install and the tuning that will make it or break it.
What will you be using for a processor?

I will run a PXA H701

and im planning on doing a custom install on this, run MDF rings from the metall all the way through sealing the back from the front then FG the front . I will insulate the door completely and ensolite it as well. Perhaps add a flexpad behind the speaker for better midbass response
