A woofer with a Qts of .97 deserves to be shat on.

The only use it would have would be in a 4th order bandpass and let it peak all to hell in the 70Hz range...

Other then that you'd have to have such a huge sealed enclosure to get the focker to play decently flat that it is likely it wouldn't fit in ANY vehicle.

High q = no bl = so to overcompensate not having bl (cough orion H2 cousin cough) you gag a shit pile of power on it...and then you end up frying the coil...

Why do you think they have not been in production as of yet?

And on paper the 12" Rl-p should use a .35cuft enclosure.

hmm...I suppose the production model is much more different than my protos than I thought. I guess they must have really changed a bunch of shit on them.

BUT, could this high qts value be do to the entirely different design? keep in mind its completely different than anything we have seen...

I mean, I can vouche for the performance of the technology itsself (its encredible)...but not the production RL-s...perhaps may not perform nearly as well.

I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Due to the new topology, it is not going to react the same way as a traditional design.

high q may = no bl...but that is what the new coil is for...
