I want dayly with my DD35's. The problem is I was reading in the Enclosure Design & Construction Help area on the site and it advises against dayly 40hz

DD says I need 40hz ported for a box.

I'm going to compete sometimes maybe 2 times a year. Otherwise i'll just drive my car.

I don't want to hurt my subs but i'd like good SQ besides spl.

What should I have my box port to? I'm spending $1000 on a FG box.

i had my dd 3510's tuned to 59 for competing and it was also my daily driver. i would turn the bass knob down on my z1 for daily and turn it up during competitions. also had a 4 channel on my dd 6x9's and my 6.5 components and tweets. sounded awesome.... just an idea. i also had tubes. they each had a 5 or 6 inch aero port. hit a 152.4 at usaci finals, and would burp a 154.1 so it was ground pounding and sounded grat on top of it....

labor isnt.

Im almost rethinking buying the DD3510's I don't want just bass . I want my music to sound good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I wouldnt do it, but some people say thaty they play well under tuning to a certain extent.

i know the level 5's do...my box is 31 HZ and i can play 15-20 HZ all day without breaking shit.

I have a DD3512 and am very happy with it. It get's loud and low. You won't regret going with the DD's. My box is right around 2.5cf tuned to 38hz. I haven't had alot to compare to but between my Diamond D9 15, RE SX 12, and DD 3512, the DD was the better sub by far.

I tuned my 3515 to 32 HZ and was just shy of burping 145 @ low 40s (hz). It sounded plenty musical to me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

*edit* in my case they played up top just fine but it rolled off quickly below 30hz. Still couldn't bottom the thing out playing Hoods Run Down at full tilt though and that drops to 16hz I think
